One way God speaks to me is that I would encounter some of his things twice, from 2 different sources. He reveals to me pertinent issues, think back on how I behaved and confront them. Denying the self and carrying His cross is definitely not easy, as it requires us to walk against the world and deal with the values of the world. Only then will we remember how much we need God in our lives.
May the power of the word extinguish every evil thought in us, sanctify us and help us to grow in the fear of the Lord.
