Wall-e was a fantastic movie to catch. I have some take-aways to share.
Watch ourselves and others
While the humans were still living on the spaceship, they were just leading their own life. They were staring at the digital screens right in front of them as if they are trapped in another world. Similarly, when we see others obsessed about other things other than God, we need to 'wake' them up and bring them back to realization that Christians are not to love the sinful world. We also need to watch ourselves as we may face temptation in the process of 'waking' others up.
Appreciate the nature and environment
I believe we all have some idea how materialism has caused the destruction of nature. The natural resources are scarce and are decreasing rapidly as there is a continual demand for production of luxury goods. This lead to the increasing amount of bio-waste, which would eventually be enough to build skycrapers.
The Lord made the Earth beautiful so let's make an effort to make it stay that way.
Love one another
Walle risked his life to protect Eve and helped the humans on the ship who he did not really know. As Christians we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. Are we ready to do so yet?
Live fruitfully
I guess in some point of our lives we would want to lead a lax lifestyle. We may be lazy to do work and at the same time want to devour the best food avaliable. The humans in the movie is the end result. Fat....so fat you can barely walk properly. Is that what you want?
Be reminded that as ingrafted branches we are to work for God and produce fruits or he will cut us off. Make good use of your time on Earth...
Eradicate your bad habits
Lastly, for goodness sake, eradicate your bad habits. You may impose trouble to others as they may have to do more work for you. For example, don't leave your dirty tracks behind! someone else would have to clean it for you. (Mop Mop Mop) =P
Dispose your trash properly
Because there is no walle.
