Road to ...

Today was Palm Sunday - A day where we recall Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, an event mentioned in all four canonical Gospels.

Matthew 21:7-11
They brought the donkey and the colt and put on them their cloaks, and he sat on them. 8 Most of the crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David!Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred up, saying, “Who is this?” 11 And the crowds said, “This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.”

He went up on this road having been received like a king.

And at this day on 2015, another person was also on the road - blocked of specially for him. There were no palm trees but mini Singapore flags raised by one people. If we had to imagine how things were like when Jesus had his welcomed entrance - it might probably be what I have witness today.

Both of them will be remembered and held in a special regard for Christians, for they paved the road for us to move on. Thank you both.
