Did you nail them down hard?

How much effort did you take to pin them down - to nail them hard on the cross on a daily basis?

Some of us may have nailed it down, but the nails were not hammered deep enough. They easily break free after some struggle. They comes back to haunt you later in the day. That is not to say that the power of Christ is not enough to subdue it.

The power of Christ is undeniably unlimited so the problem actually lies in how often we utilize it. Just as we should capture every sinful thought and bring it to Christ, we should single out our sins, bring them before God so that they can be to death with His power.

Are we aware of the spiritual warfare that is taking place daily? Are you struggling to fight for God's glory? May the Lord open the eyes of our hearts, not only to grasp the awesome multi-dimensional love of God but to the reality of His truth, that the battle is still ongoing, war is still waged.

The choicest believers, who are assuredly freed
from the condemning power of sin,
ought yet to make it their business all their days to
mortify the indwelling power of sin.
Do you mortify; do you make it your daily work;
be always at it while you live;cease not a day from this work;
