We have to be alert. Why?
Because the devil attacks you in more than one way. Instead of using the normal assault routes, he can bypass them and surprise you in your face. It creeps back after each defeat.
Paul warns us in Ephesians that we are not to 'give the devil a foothold'. We are also told to ' put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. '
We may grow tired and weary.
We may stumble and fall
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
