Entry fee for a church service on sunday: priceless?
It's really strange how the last line seems to pale in comparison with the rest of the events. Certainly, there are performances to expect be thrilled about but I really wonder why we don't have any kind of eager expectation to come before God (especially on Sunday). The point is not about whether a church service equates to a good performance but rather, the presence of desire of the hearts of those who gather at the sanctuary every Sunday.
Should we not think that every opportunity to seek God is priceless? Or do we cheapen these opportunities because they are price-less (requiring no entry fee) and go through the motion? Do we seek hard after God? Do we come before God with strong thirst and hunger for God?
Awaken us Lord, and give us this spiritual appetite.
And may this appetite for you be most satisfied that you may be most glorified.
