There are some material I took from the the church library and I just want to share a little something I read today.
(Taken from Homiletics Mar/Apr 2003)
Noah was a man who has his priorities in order. And when his ordeal was over, God hung a rainbow in the sky. Unfortunately, many of us want the rainbow without the rain, and even then we are not satisfied with one rainbow, not but after more.
Noah lived in faith and got his rainbow. He had learned the meaning of radical gratitude, that the rainbow signifies redemption ( - I think 'hope for mankind' might fit here better) and not material excess. When we learn to love what we have, then we have truly boarded the ark of salvation.
